Delete your account

You can permanently delete your StudentAid account at any time — either from inside the app, or by request from this page if you no longer have the app installed. This applies to the StudentAid app for families and the StudentAid Driver app.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

1. Open the app and sign in.
2. Go to your Profile screen.
3. Tap Delete account (below Sign out) and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately: your login is permanently removed and every signed-in device is signed out.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email info@studentaid.io with the subject “Account deletion request” from the email you can be reached at, and include the phone number your account is registered under. We will verify that you control that number (we'll send a confirmation code to it) and then delete the account. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and normally much sooner.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted

• Your login and every personal identifier attached to it — name, phone number, email — is permanently removed. Deletion cannot be undone.
• Every sign-in session and push-notification registration on every device.

Kept, and why

• School records: a child's roster entry, boarding and custody history belong to the school, which is required to keep a verifiable safety record. Deleting a parent account removes the parent's login, not the school's records — see the retention section of our Privacy Policy for how long schools keep them.
• Operator records: a driver's work history (trips driven, verification decisions) stays with their transport operator for the same reason, with the link to the deleted login removed.
• Audit entries required by law or for safety are retained in anonymised form.
